The immediate area around the Wetterstein Hotel offers an extensive range of leisure time and sports activities. For example in a few minutes you can be at the famous Bavaria film studios, Tierpark Hellabrunn - Munich's zoo - and the training grounds of Bayern Munich or 1860 Munich, Munich soccer clubs.

Give a treat to yourself in the numerous nearby cafes and restaurants and take advantage of the various cultural events that the city has to offer. With public transport it takes just ten minutes to get to Munich city centre and explore landmarks such as the "Feldherrenhalle" - Field Marshal's Hall, the town hall at Marienplatz, "Alten Peter" - the name of the tower on St. Peter's church or the "Viktualienmarkt" (Munichs renowned green grocery market).

In addition to this the foothills of the Bavarian alps with their aristocratic castles such as Neuschwanstein, Herrenchiemsee and Linderhof, interesting monasteries such as Andechs and Ettal as well as the numerous lakes make for great excursions.
